Hello, Boon Patriots!

Welcome back! I hope you all had a fantastic summer!

My name is Courtney Visalli and I am honored to serve as your PTA President this year! I am a mom of three kiddos here at Boon (Kindergarten, 4th grade and 6th Grade) and we have been part of the Boon family for the past 7 years.  You can often find me at dance events, baseball games, soccer games, helping coach the 4th grade Destination Imagination team or volunteering in the children’s ministry at our church.  When I am not doing those things, you can find me working with the neonates as an Occupational Therapist at Parkland Hospital.  I am truly passionate about serving my community, church and school.  I am so fortunate to be working alongside some of the BEST volunteers one can know here at Boon!

Our overarching goal as a PTA is to offer parents a diverse range of opportunities to engage with their children's school life. Research consistently states that schools with involved parents lead to students who thrive as evidenced by higher test scores, improved attendance, and a greater engagement with their school environment and peers. As parents and guardians, it is important that we demonstrate our commitment to education through our active involvement here at Boon!

Getting involved is easy! Whether it's purchasing spirit wear, attending our Fall Festival, helping shelve books in the library or pass out napkins in the cafeteria, volunteering as a field trip chaperone or being a Watch Dog, every contribution counts! If you're eager to become more involved but aren't sure where to start, I am here to help!  Please reach out and we will work on the perfect fit for you! Please don't be afraid to reach out!
