Q: What is this year's theme?

A: Look Within

Q: When is the deadline?

A: Entries must be submitted to the Boon Office by TBD 2023.

Q: Who can enter?

A: Any Boon student

Q: Do I need to be a Boon PTA member to enter?

A: Yes. At least one person in your household must be a Boon PTA member.

Q: Can I enter in more than one category?

A: Yes. You can enter all 6 categories if you wish.

Q: Can I submit multiple entries in the same category?

A: Yes. You can submit as many entries per category as you wish.

Q: Can a parent help me with my entry?

A: No. The entry should be the result of the student’s creativity.

Q: Can I work with another student?

A: No. The creativity for a single entry needs to be the result of a single student. Other students may help with dance or musical performance.

Q: What are the Grade Divisions?

A: Primary:  Pre-K – Grade 2

Intermediate:  Grades 3-5

Middle School:  Grades 6-8

Special Artist:  All grades welcome

Q: Where can I find the rules?

A: Program Rules to ensure your entry meets the requirements for each category.

Q: Where can I find an entry form?

A: Each entry must be accompanied by a completed Student Entry Form.

Q: What is the review criteria for judging my entry?

A: Interpretation:  How closely the piece relates to the theme, based on the artwork itself and the artist statement.

Creativity:  How creative and original the piece is in its conception of the theme and its presentation.

Technique:  The level of skill demonstrated in the basic principles/techniques of the arts area.

Submissions are considered for local, regional, state and national level awards and prizes. Learn more about state-level and national-level awards and events.
